Born to Italian and American parents Antonio Severi grew up surrounded by different cultures and perspectives. During his design studies at the Free University of Bolzano, he worked as an assistant for Nitzan Cohen and freelanced for Studio Harry Thaler. After receiving his BA degree, he interned as a product developer for HAY in Copenhagen. Following this experience, he began his masters studies at ECAL.Curiosity of materials and everyday objects is at core of Antonio’s design process. Starting from a rich collection of references, he designs objects which embrace contemporary aesthetics, production techniques and crafts. Antonio’s work is geared towards simplifying and reducing objects to their essence in search of more sustainable products.
